CSA T20 CHALLENGE WEEKLY ROUND-UP: HOLLYWOODBETS DOLPHINS.

The Hollywoodbets Dolphins gained momentum at the right time as they look to secure a spot in the top four to move to the knockout stages of the CSA T20 Challenge.

A summary of their back-to-back victories this week;

Hollywoodbets Dolphins vs Momentum Multiply Titans - Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium, Durban

The Hollywoodbets Dolphins secured a narrow three-run win against Momentum Multiply Titans at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead on Wednesday. Titans opted to field first as the hosts ended the innings on 127/6 in their allotted 20 overs. David Wiese’s five-wicket haul of 5/29 in four overs led the attack for the Titans.

Jason Smith top scored with an unbeaten 28*, with Khaya Zondo and Bradley Porteous also in the twenties with 21 runs each. Dolphins' Bowling attack was also as clinical, restricting Titans to 74/5 before players were called off due to bad weather. Players returned to the field with a revised target of 104, with the visitors needing 30 runs from  two overs and Dolphins eventually clinched a narrow win.

Skipper, Prenelan Subrayen and Jon-Jon Smuts returned two scalps each for the hosts

World Sports Betting Western Province vs Hollywoodbets Dolphins – WSB Newlands Cricket Ground, Cape Town

The Cape side again missed the chance to move clear of 2023 winners, suffering a heavy 8-wicket defeat to the Dolphins, who won with a bonus-point in Cape Town. Province batted first after winning the toss but were flattened for 96. Andile Simelane (3/12) and Prenelan Subrayen (3/18) proved key for the Durban side with the ball.

The visitors needed only 11.1 overs to then chase down that target with Khayelihle Zondo (35), Grant Roelofsen (21), Jon-Jon Smuts (16*) and Marques Ackerman (17*) all amongst the runs.
