Not quite 50 Shades of Grey.. or Yellow.
This year the famous Pantone Colour Institute has released not one but two colours for the year 2021. The shade heroes include PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Grey, a basic grey paired with PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating, a bright yellow!
Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute brilliantly summed up the choice of these colours: “The union of the eternal Ultimate Grey with the bright Illuminating yellow conveys a positive and fearless message. Practical and unwavering, but at the same time warm and optimistic, this combination of colours brings us resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged and inspired; this is essential to the human mind.”
Mavala SA’s owner, Janine Karels has suggested that the Lemon Drop, Moon Grey & Austin mini colours are the best choices, in their range, to match the Pantone colour trends.
“Yellow always looks magnificent on darker skin tones and grey is a colour that best suites fair skin. If you are feeling daring try a mix and match of both yellow and grey” says Janine Karels of Mavala SA.
In the Mavala nail polish collection there are a quite a few colours to select from – have a look at the full range of colours here - https://mavala.co.za/product-category/nail-polish/ and let’s not forget about their collection of grey eye shadow pencils & Khol soft crayons.
MAVALA Mini Colours have been designed to minimise solvent evaporation. To avoid this inconvenience, all bottles are 5ml so you can use the whole bottle with no waste! All Mavala nail polishes, base coats and top coats allow nails to breathe. They contain a resin extracted from wood which adheres to the nail surface in the form of a flexible and resistant film which remains porous, allowing oxygen and water vapour to pass through the nail polish, to the nail plate. All of their nail polishes, base coats and topcoats are worry-free containing none of the 13 usual toxic chemicals found in nail polishes and they are also cruelty-free.
Prices R105.00 for nail polishes, R225.00 for eye shadow pencils and R155 for Khol soft crayons.
