The Johannesburg Cap Classique & Champagne Festival 2020 is back, and bigger than before!

Pop the corks and charge your glasses - the Johannesburg Cap Classique & Champagne Festival is back, and set to once again delight Jozi bubbly fans when it takes place on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5 at the Inanda Country Club. The event – presented by Sanlam Private Wealth – will feature some of South Africa’s finest Méthode Cap Classiques (MCC) and Sparkling Wines as well as a selection of France’s best Champagnes and leading Italian Proseccos. Says organiser Darielle Robertson: “Gautengers definitely love their bubbly. Last year's event was a a roaring success with a sell-out on both days, so we are delighted to be back with an event that promises to be even bigger and better and with more bubbly than before." Once again festival-goers can expect to sip on favourites from the likes of Krone, Simonsig, L’Ormarins, Black Elephant Vintners, Silverthorn, Boschendal, Tanzanite, Bon Courage, Paul Rene, Graham Beck, Siwela Wines, Steenberg, Colmant and Pongracz as well as French Champagnes from Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger, Lanson, Pol Roger, Luc Belaire, Bollinger and Nicolas Feuillatte and Italian Proseccos from Profumi, Da Luca and Valdo.

Adds Robertson: “The festival will have a chic, but laid-back, garden party feel and - as was the case last year - the theme will be Blue & White, with the best dressed lady at Saturday's gig winning fabulous prizes including a year's supply of bubbly from L'Oramrins as well as a bespoke bag from Okapi." Food, from a variety of stations, will satisfy the hunger pangs and live music will add to the relaxed, laid back ambience of the day.

Says Carl Roothman CEO of Sanlam Private Wealth: “We’re excited to be part of this luxury lifestyle event once again. It provides us with an ideal platform to collaborate with fellow masters of their craft and create an exclusive experience for our guests." “Over the two days, the same characteristics that inspire and drive us to grow and preserve wealth – such as practice, patience, meticulous attention to detail and even the need to take calculated risks – will also be evident in the delectable MCCs, Champagnes, food, and music on offer.” Booking is now open at Webtickets HERE
