Inspirational Places welcomes back the in person, face-to-face Mini-Indaba for travel trade in CT.

After two years of remote communication and digital meetings, Marketing and Sales representation company, Inspirational Places (IP) will be hosting their annual Mini-Indaba in Cape Town at Makers Landing (The Cruise Terminal, Victoria and Alfred Waterfront) on Wednesday 24 August 2022.

Aimed at Cape Town based tour operators and consultants, the round-robin platform will represent 22 exhibitors, including IP’s member properties in South Africa, Namibia and Zambia, as well as a few ‘Friends of Inspirational Places’.

The Cape Town Mini-Indaba follows on from the similar event in Johannesburg taking place on Wednesday 17th August. Allie Hunt, who has owner-managed Inspirational Places since 2008, is joined at the Mini-Indaba by IP Sales and Marketing Manager Susanna Voysey and Glynnis McPherson providing administrative support.

Hunt says that there is great excitement and support around the ‘speed-dating’ event, which will provide the owners, general managers or marketing managers of member properties with the opportunity to talk about their product in person. "The travel industry is all about personal relationships and we are thrilled to welcome the return of the IP Mini-Indaba platform to reconnect - as we used to. Keeping that human connection in mind we have decided that this will be a strictly no-tech event. We are encouraging our exhibitors to leave the electronics at home and to engage on a personal basis with attendees. It’s time to travel again and there is no better way to spread the word than to talk about it and share personal stories and experiences!’, she says.

New members of Inspirational Places participating in the event include mFulaWozi Wilderness Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu Natal (Biyela Lodge and Mthembu Lodge) and Mukwa River Lodge in Livingstone (Zambia). Others include Brookdale Estate in the Winelands (Paarl); Perivoli - Lagoon House on the banks of the Hermanus Lagoon (Stanford); The Alphen Hotel & Spa in Constantia and The Marly Hotel & Spa in Camps Bay (Cape Town); Habitas Namibia in the greater Windhoek area (Namibia) and Wild Frontiers, operating their camps in Tanzania and offering an experienced DMC service.

Long-standing members of IP will also take part in the Mini-Indaba to provide their product updates. They include The Residence Boutique Hotel in Houghton (Johannesburg), Camp Ndlovu in the Welgevonden Game Reserve in the Waterberg (Limpopo), as well as luxury safari lodge Jamala Madikwe, Mosaic Lagoon Lodge in Stanford, Federal Airlines, and Schoone Oordt Country House in Swellendam.

Joining the IP members to exhibit at the Cape Town Mini-Indaba this year, is Red Carnation Hotels, Fastjet, Future Found Sanctuary, Escape + Explore, Jock Safari Lodge and Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, Lion Camp (Zambia), Camissa House and Silvan Safari Lodge, as well as WETU.

Industry members are invited to attend the Inspirational Places Mini-Indaba by pre-registration for the morning or afternoon session. Attendees stand a chance to win exciting travel prizes. Enquiries and registration by email to Helen: info@inspirationalplaces.com.
